KMG-Bernuth’s pentachlorophenol (penta) and creosote wood-preserving chemicals have played a critical role in the development of the nation’s transportation, communications, maritime and construction infrastructures. For more than a century, creosote treatments have been protecting railway ties, construction timbers and marine pilings from insect infestation and decay. For nearly as long, pentachlorophenol (penta) has been the coating treatment power generation and telephone companies use to protect their utility poles.

KMG-Bernuth’s Animal Health Division is also growing, and recently introduced AVENGER™ insecticide cattle ear tags made with exclusive Ectoran™ Technology. New AVENGER contains an active ingredient that has never been used in insecticide ear tags or in the animal health industry. AVENGER represents the first new class of chemistry introduced in the beef and dairy marketplace in more than 20 years.
